The Role
The Interior Designer will be instrumental in developing interior concepts, selecting finishes and materials, and collaborating with project stakeholders to bring spaces to life. Reporting directly to the Principal and Founder, this role offers an opportunity to be part of the strategic vision behind innovative commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop interior design concepts for commercial projects, ensuring functionality and aesthetic alignment.
Create and present mood boards, material selections, and space planning layouts.
Work closely with architects, contractors, and developers to coordinate design elements with overall project goals.
Oversee FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection and procurement.
Prepare detailed construction documents and specifications for interior finishes.
Conduct site visits and installations, ensuring design intent is executed correctly.
Stay updated on trends, materials, and sustainability practices in commercial interior design.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
3-7 years of experience in commercial interior design (hospitality, retail, office, or mixed-use projects preferred).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, and commercial materials.
Exceptional ability to communicate and present designs to stakeholders.
A portfolio or project list showcasing commercial interior design projects.
